Interior Designer

Latham (L) Interiors is seeking an Interior Designer to join our award-winning, high-end residential studio in Sun Valley, Idaho. This role is suited to a designer with proven experience in interior architectural design who is ready to take ownership of project work, contributing original ideas, and collaborating closely within an assigned project team.

Our Studio is expanding, and we focus on thoughtful residential projects shaped by the character of the mountain environment. We’re looking for someone who is energized by new projects, enjoys producing clear and detailed drawings, and brings strong organization to schedules, specifications, and deliverables throughout the design process.

The Interior Designer will participate in construction site visits, project presentations, weekly design review, and studio meetings. They will manage vendor communication, oversee material and furniture sourcing, and support the preparation of drawings, specifications, and documentation. This role requires a designer who communicates confidently with clients, vendors, and team members to keep requirements aligned and projects running smoothly. Working closely with our Principal and the design team, they will help uphold the studio’s high standards while contributing experienced design insight in a fast-past, collaborative environment.

RESPONSIBILITES:

    Manage and support project work across all phases, contributing to concept development, detailed documentation, and construction coordination. This role requires strong creative problem-solving, clear communication, and organized, detail-driven execution while collaborating closely with clients, vendors, and the design team to uphold the studio’s high standards.

    Key Duties:
    Develop and refine design concepts with strong creative thinking and thorough detail-oriented follow-through
    Produce detailed drawings and maintain clear, accurate project schedules for assigned projects
    Coordinate deliverable with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality completion
    Oversee material and furniture sourcing, vendor communication, and specification development
    Prepare and review drawings, presentations, and documentation across Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and other studio tools
    Collaborate closely with the Principal and Lead Designer throughout all project phases, contributing experienced design insight
    Provide guidance and support to Junior Designers and Interns to strengthen project workflow and elevate overall project quality
    Uphold the studio’s standards by adhering to office procedures and contributing to a positive, organized, and collaborative work environment

REQUIREMENTS:

    • Interior Design Experience: 3+ years of professional residential or related design experience
    • Position: Full-time role based in Sun Valley, ID
    • Skills: Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD/ArchiCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and standard office software
    • Creative Abilities: Strong conceptual thinking with the ability to drive design direction
    • Professional Skills: Advanced organizational and project-management abilities, with clear coordination across clients, vendors, and team members
    • Industry Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary furniture, materials, and building finish products
    • Personal Qualities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to guide Junior Designers and represent the studio professionally
    • Studio Standards: Upholds studio policies, procedures, and professional conduct, contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment
